What's Your Why?
Why- The Purpose
We believe in cultivating independent learners who excel academically and in life, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and success.

How- The Process
To do this, we will create a significant learning environment through Blended Learning where students will be given choice and ownership over their own learning.

What- The Result
We create independent learners who take responsibility for their own learning and who can succeed in a variety of learning environments.

We are currently living in a rapidly changing world, one in which the skills needed to succeed in life are different than they were a few years ago. As educators it is our job to help our students start developing the necessary skills needed to succeed in a variety of environments. By adopting a blended learning model in the classroom, we are not only developing technology skills that are now necessary for the workforce but also creating independent learners. By initiating these skills as early as elementary school, we are laying the groundwork for fostering independence that will endure a lifetime. We can establish a significant learning environment where the student is in control of a major part of their own learning, therefore becoming responsible for their education. Through my Innovation Plan I intend to integrate technology with traditional face-to-face instruction to create a student-centered environment where learners have choice and ownership over their learning. I am committed to my “why” in creating students that are prepared for success in the future, but it must start today.
