During my time in courses 5315 and 5317, I learned so much that really helped improve my innovation plan. I was able to dive deep into the concept of blended learning, studying its impact through my literature review and action research. This allowed me to develop my ideas in a much clearer and more focused way. My final article benefited greatly from the feedback and collaboration I received from my group. I truly believe this semester would have been a lot more challenging without their support. I’m extremely grateful to have had the chance to work with such hard-working and thoughtful professionals. Throughout the program, I’ve worked closely with Paige Shaw, and together, we’ve been part of several groups, both on Teams and GroupMe, where we shared ideas and learned from each other. For our articles, I had the opportunity to collaborate with many new peers who provided valuable feedback that helped improve my writing. As we were forming our groups, I reached out to others through GroupMe, Teams, and Blackboard. Eventually, we settled on a group on Teams, where we were able to review each other’s rough drafts. We set deadlines for ourselves and made sure to stick to them, which helped keep us on track and ensured the drafts were thoroughly reviewed. Having a space to connect with others who are going through similar experiences has been an invaluable resource this semester as I completed my assignments.
Positive Outcomes:
Throughout this semester, I have consistently submitted my assignments on time, actively participated in discussions, and completed all required readings. While I wasn’t able to attend live meetings due to longer hours at school, I made sure to watch all the recordings, which were incredibly helpful as I worked through my assignments. I am genuinely proud of the work I’ve completed this semester, especially considering the many changes in my personal life. Balancing schoolwork, new work hours, and personal challenges was difficult at times, but it ultimately helped me develop stronger time management and prioritization skills. Despite these challenges, this experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I feel more confident in my ability to juggle multiple responsibilities moving forward.
Growth Opportunities:
This semester was the first time I wasn’t able to attend live classes regularly because of new work responsibilities. While I had to rely on watching recordings, I believe that being present in live classes and participating in discussions regularly is really important for our success. I did my best to participate in the discussion boards on time, but I know I can work on contributing earlier and more consistently. For the final semester of the program, I plan to make attending live sessions a priority instead of just watching the recordings. I also see an opportunity for growth in getting ahead with my work. I want to be more organized and complete assignments earlier so I can spend more time polishing them. My goal is to finish the program with my assignments as strong as possible and to make sure my final ePortfolio looks its best, reflecting the skills and knowledge I’ve gained.
For the reasons stated above, I am giving myself the following grades:
5317 Resources for Digital Environments 90/100
5315 Assessing Digital Resources 82/100
